Ulverstone Junior Robins

About

Junior football is for players, both boys and girls, from age 10 to 17. The junior football competition is part of the North West Football League, and includes teams from Latrobe through to Smithton. Our aim at Ulverstone is to make sure all our juniors enjoy the game, play to the best of their ability and love coming to the footy each week. Footy prowess will follow when you're playing a game you love.

All teams will have training throughout the week and play competitive games on a Sunday. As football is a winter sport, we play in all weather conditions, so be prepared to get muddy.

During the year there will be opportunities for some of our rising stars to be a part of representative matches against our Northern counterparts, and this then also feeds into the Tasmania Devils program. So play your best and have the right attitiue and you never know where it can take you!

During the course of the season, we will play at home and away.  When we have home games we will man the gates and canteen, where all parents/carers/guardians are expected to have a go and help out a couple of times throughout the season. It's not hard and there is always someone there to help you if you're unsure. You will meet other footy families and who knows, you may create long lasting friendships. Without our volunteers, we don't have games for our kids, so every bit of help is greatly appreciated.

It is a requirement of our coaches that all players get a fair amount of time on the ground. It is important that all kids are treated as equal and don't spend all game on the bench. It is also a requirement of our players that they are respectful towards their coaches and other players and play the game fairly.

It is an expectation of all players and their guardians that they abide by the rules of the Code of Conduct. Remember this is junior footy, not the AFL.
